Made in New York and now living in the Tampa Bay area with a musical background from the heavens above. Luis started as a DJ in 1985 spinning in the local circuit doing house parties along side of EPMD,Bizmarkie,Keith Murray,Kenyon (d.j. four five)as well as weddings,Homecomings and so on.Luis was fortunate to have landed a job at a record pressing plant called HRM in Long Island. There he was a quality control tech having access to all test pressings. Luis made many friends at all record stores mainly DOWNTOWN RECORDS in Manhattan swapping and sharing the newest releases with all the best d.j.’s and recording artists. His career started to boost in 1991 when the electronic scene began in Long Island,New York. Luis was soon introduced to the electronica era of spinning sets at a club called CAFFEINE where he played along side of other vinyl junkies like : Frankie Bones, Micro, Dave Trance , Lil’ Louie Vega , Danny Tenaglia , Junior Vasquez , James Christian , Sameer , Onionz , Joeski , Adam X , Lord G, and Roger Sanchez just to name a few. Soon after developing his signature sound and doing warehouse parties and underground “raves”. Luis started traveling the globe in 1994 and was invited to play at some of the most respected venues & promotions such as Caffeine , Octagon , Palladium , Limelight , Mars , Ministry of Sound ( London ) , Playboy ( France ), Lemon Club ( Tokyo ) and the list goes on . Luis Martinez has had the pleasure of seeing the electronic scene from when it was in baby stages in the U.S. and being of part of something special when underground events were held in abandon warehouses and carried a special vibe of unity and the music wasn’t about the money but about the feeling you get when everything is put together just right . With this type of experience you can bet Luis will be sure to set the decks on fire from venue to venue and coast to coast . 3 weeks after moving to Florida in 2000 Luis started spinning House music on WTAN 1340AM commercial free 4 nights a week 10pm-5am as well as spinning his grooves in Ybor City Tampa at club Om. Since then Luis has created a big name in the Tampa Bay area rocking virtually every major venue. Currently you find Luis spinning and running a state of the art recording facility that is incredibly versatile to any production scenario. With over 30 yrs of experience under his belt now, there is no stopping just pushin’.Now involved with a production arsenal and as of 2018 Luis is now a Billboard artist/Producer with Chillin’ Bass Records. As well as BulletDodge Records (Scotland), EPM-Music (Netherlands), Karmic Power Records (N.Y.), House Sessions Records (Germany),I am House Rec.(Chicago) Rebel House Records (Florida), and Unity Gain Rec(New York)as well as Veksler Rec. in (New York),African Groove Rec.(So.
